The children collected various bugs from outside and then examined them under the microscope. The children were amazed at how large the bugs appeared under the microscope.
Catherine Daly (Education Officer- Killarney Heritage Centre) visited our class today. The first part of the workshop was a presentation of a large collection of stuffed animals. Catherine explained to the children about mammals, predator/ prey adaptions, mammal ecology and conservations. The children learnt so much about rabbits, hares, foxes, badgers, pygmy shrews, pine martens, deer etc. Here is a recording of the children exploring the stuffed mammals.
A big well done to all who competed in the Primary Sports Day hosted by Millstreet Athletic Club. Here we have three very happy participants proudly showing off their medals.
