We read the story 'Owl Babies' today. We learnt words such as front cover, back cover, spine of the book, blurb, cover page, author and illustrator. We then watched an animated version of the story online.
The children love strengthening their intrinsic hand muscles with this fun playdoh disco clip:
One of our new 'Bizzy Breaks' that that the children have fun singing and dancing to in school.
After each sleepover, we will use the photographs to make a simple story book. We use this as our reading practise in school. Each child will get a copy of their own book as a memory of their special sleepover with Bosco.
I guided the children in small groups as they copied these words to make simple sentences. (all these letters have been covered in our handwriting lessons)
Welcome to the Room 4 Junior Infant Blog. We will show you some of our work on this page and hopefully you will see just how busy we are in school. We would love for you to leave comments for us to read!
