An education officer from the RSA will visit our school on Wednesday (18th) and Thursday (19th) to highlight to all our pupils the importance of road safety and how best to practise road safety at all times.R1, R4, R6 and R8 started gymnastics last week and will continue these classes for the next five weeks. The remaining classes will start their classes after Easter. The school tour for Junior & Senior Infants will take place on June 2nd. More details will be provided in May.In term 1, 3rd & 4th Class (R7) took part in basketball lessons which were delivered by Leo O' Neil. The cost of these lessons amounted to €200 but Leo kindly donated this money to 'Cork Simon Community' instead.
All pupils are encourage to walk or cycle some or all of the journey to and from school on Friday (13th). Please remember to 'Be Safe, Be Seen'.Swimming lessons in Mallow Swimming Pool wil commence for our 2nd- 4th class pupils on January 19th. All pupils are encouraged to participate as swimming is one of the strands in the P.E. Curriculum. More details will be provided via a note from the class teachers.R1/ R4/ R6 & R8 will take part in a 6 week gymnastics programme delivered by a qualified gymnastics instructor. This will commence on January 12th. Parents are asked to contribute €12 (€2 per session) towards the cost of this gymnastics programme. |
