The Sciath na Scol matches scheduled for Thursday (26th) have been postponed until further notice.A very successful bake sale was held in Room 8 today in aid of Trócaire. A big thank you to all who supported this event, especially the parents of 3rd & 4th Class girls for baking all the delicious buns, cakes and yummy treats. The total amount raised will be announced tomorrow. Mrs. Murphy and Ms. McAuliffe organised a very successful Tráth na gCeist for our 3rd- 6th Class girls along with the 3rd - 6th Class boys from Scoil Mhuire.Our camogie team will play their first two matches of the Sciath na Scol competition on Thursday (26th) in Cork. Best of luck girls!3rd & 4th Class will hold a bake sale on Wednesday (March 25th) in aid of Trócaire. Children will need to bring in €1 or more if they wish to purchase buns/ cakes. Your support is always greatly appreciated.All classes enjoyed this construction workshop with John and Ursula from Kids Bricks Club. More photos will be added in the coming days.On March 13th, members of IRD Duhallow visited 3rd/ 4th/ 5th & 6th Class to speak about Birds and Wildlife.Here we share some images of 3rd & 4th class enjoying some dancing activities during Seachtain na Gaeilge.Caroline Casey of Cork County Council visited our school today and spoke to some of our classes regarding water safety. After successfully completing this water safety workshop, our school was awarded the Cork County Council Awareness Flag which we will hang outside our main gate in the coming days. Our 3rd Class team and 4th/ 5th/ 6th Class team participated in the Duhallow School Football Blitz on March 11th in Rathcoole. The opposing teams included Boherbue, Newmarket, Banteer and Knocknagree. All girls had a fantastic performance despite the mucky and wet conditions. Well done girls! Thanks to the organisers and referees involved in this Duhallow Blitz.All classes will take part in a building construction workshop on Thursday (12th). Please contribute €1 per child for this workshop.
Tomorrow is the first Friday in March so all pupils are once again encouraged to walk or cycle some or all of the journey to school.
