Camogie Workshops!

2nd- 6th Class enjoyed their second camogie workshop this morning with Esther O' Leary. The girls are really having fun while improving their camogie skills at the same time. We will take photpgraphs at the next session and share them with you as soon as possible.

Our School Walking Club

Our school walking club will commence activities this Friday (8th) at 3pm. Pupils have returned their forms with signed permission from their parent/ guardian to take part in this initiative as part of our Healthy and Active School campaign.

The walking route will start at the school gate, continue on the footpath which leads to Millstreet Train Station and then return again to the school gate. Pupils have received their hi-viz belt and RSA Safety booklet to prepare them to take part in this walking club safely and responsibly.

ALL PUPILS MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A PARENT/ GUARDIAN AT ALL TIMES DURING THIS WALK!

Important message from our local Tidy Towns Committee:

Millstreet Tidy Town Association in conjunction with Cork County Council are hoping for your support in a community event on 16th April 2016 that we are trying to organise.

Team Millstreet Clean-Up, is an event for the entire community. We are hoping to get everybody involved in doing a cleaning blitz of the town in one day. We need volunteers to help us achieve this.

As a local school you are at the heart of the community and can lead by example.

Important Notice from Millstreet Parents' Association:

Millstreet Parent's Assocation will host a Primary Schools Quiz on Friday the 8th of April. The hall has been booked, trophies have been ordered and raffle prizes have been organised. The questions are more ideally suited for 2nd to 6th class pupils.

The quiz will be starting at 8 pm in the G.A.A Hall and should last for approximately an hour and a half to two hours. The teams will consist of 4 per team. €5 per person, €20 per team.

There will be no shop in the venue so if pupils are attending we would encourage that they bring their own drinks and snacks. We will have volunteers on the night supervising the main door to ensure no children will leave the premises until they have been collected by their parents.

There will be a raffle on the night for spot prizes. The cost of a raffle ticket will be €1 per strip.

We encourage all our pupils and pupils from neighbouring schools to support this quiz.
