3rd & 4th Class recently performed this wonderful drama as gaeilge. Well done girls! 

First year of primary school completed! Well done to all the boys and girls of Room 4! 

Here we share some images of our 6th Class girls during their graduation celebrations last Friday. We are very proud of these young ladies and we wish them luck and happiness as they start the new chapter of their lives in Millstreet Community School. 

Catherine Daly (Education Officer- Killarney Heritage Centre) visited R3 & R4 this week.  The first part of the science workshop was a presentation of a large collection of stuffed animals. Catherine explained to the children about mammals, predator/ prey adaptions, mammal ecology and conservations. The children learnt so much about rabbits, hares, foxes, badgers, pygmy shrews, pine martens, deer etc.  

The second part of the workshop involved the children going outside to collect a variety of bugs. They then examined all of these bugs under the microscopes.

Millstreet Athletic Club will host their School Sports Day on Monday (June 18th). The school will only accompany children who quailifed in the heats. If you wish to take your child to the Sports Day, please collect them from 10:30am onwards. 

 Please send in a stamped addressed envelope to school so we can post home your child's end of year report card. One envelope per family will suffice. 

Millstreet Athletic Club will host their  School Sports day on June 18th. More details in the coming days. 

Our camogie team defeated Rathcoole N.S. in the final in Newmarket earlier today. It was a thrilling match with both teams displaying great skill. Well done Pres. N.S. We are so proud of you all!

June 7th: Activities today included morning exercise workouts, parachute games and 3rd & 4th Class completed their final swimming lesson in Mallow. 

June 8th: Another fun -filled day with our Camogie team emerging victorious in the Duhallow Schools final and many classes taking part in 'Take on the Teacher' challenges. 

Best of luck to our school team in the final today. They will play against Rathcoole N.S. at 12:40pm in Newmarket. 

Today marked the first day of 'Active Schools' and the fantastic weather greatly helped us to be extra energetic! Activities today included obstacle courses for all classes organised by the girls from 5th & 6th and the 'Sports Day Qualifiers' were also held today. 

Emma (Maxi Zoo Education Officer) visited our school on May 25th. During the workshops, the children learnt the best steps to follow when taking care of their pets at home. They also got the opportunity to pet and hold 'Poppy the Rabbit'. Here we share some photos taken during the very enjoyable workshops:

Corpus Christi Procession will take place on June 3rd (Sunday). First Communion Class are invited to lead this procession. Please meet in the Church Yard after 11:30am mass. Don't forget to bring your basket full of petals and greenery.
